A blend of 50% carignan, 20% grenache, 20% cinsault, and 10% tibourenc, it is aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve it freshness. There is a trend toward darker roses, in particular for the American market. Chateau du Rouet is a fine example of a richer, darker pink. Aromas of spring blossoms greet the nose with crab apple scents. Flavors of stewed strawberries, orange peel, ripe peach, and lime zest fill the mouth. A touch of mineral shows on the finish, marrying with the silky acidity.

This was a delightful wine at a great price. Filled with notes of red raspberries, white chocolate, and rose petals, it fills the mouth with soft frizzante bubbles.
